Permanent Lighting in Carrollton
Light up your Carrollton home for every holiday, right from your phone. Inception Lighting puts permanent color-changing LED lights on Carrollton houses. After the install, they're there for good. You'd be hard pressed to spot them during the day, and at night you open the BlueHopper app and pick whatever colors you're in the mood for. We're based in Denton, a straight shot up I-35.
Control with the click of a button
With BlueHopper, you have the superpower of controlling lights! Available on both iOS & Android, BlueHopper is an incredibly user-friendly app with all the powerful features, even for those who are not tech-savvy.
Start by choosing a preset design, or easily customize your own and schedule it. It's that easy!
Why Carrollton homeowners are making the move
Most of the people who call us have a garage shelf full of light bins they've come to dread. Every fall it's the same project. Untangle, test, and find someone to hold the ladder. Come January, the whole thing goes in reverse.
With permanent lights, that project is over after the first time. The lights stay on the house, and the colors, patterns and schedule all live in the app.
Carrollton's holiday season starts downtown. Every December the city puts on Santa on the Square in Historic Downtown Carrollton. A trackless train loops the square, there's a live reindeer to visit, kids drop letters in Santa's mailbox, and the big tree gets lit with a drone light show overhead. It's a good night out, and your own lights can already be on when you get back.
Made for how Carrollton celebrates
- Creekview families can go Mustangs red and black on game nights. Over at Newman Smith, it's Trojans green and gold. Up north, plenty of kids go to Hebron.
- For Santa on the Square, schedule your favorite Christmas design to come on that evening and keep it on through New Year's.
- In the fall, the Festival at the Switchyard fills Historic Downtown Carrollton with live music. Warm ambers and harvest oranges fit right in that time of year.
- Red, white and blue on the Fourth, pinks and reds for Valentine's Day, orange and purple for Halloween, and a plain warm white most other nights.
Schedules go out as far as twelve months, so you can map the whole year in one sitting. You've got 16 million colors to work with, plus whites from 1800K to 6800K.
Homes we light in Carrollton
Carrollton started as a farm settlement, picked up a railroad in the late 1800s, and became a shipping town for cotton and grain before it grew into the city it is now. That long history shows in the houses. Some streets have homes that have stood for decades, and other parts of town are a lot newer.
- Older homes near Historic Downtown Carrollton and the DART station. People here like that the lights stay out of sight by day, so the house keeps its old look.
- Josey Ranch, built on what used to be a working cattle ranch, with homes set around the lake and the greenbelt. A lit house looks especially nice reflected across the water at night.
- Established neighborhoods like the Estates of Indian Creek and Hill 'n Dale, where folks have decorated the same house for years and are ready to stop climbing up to do it.
- The north side of town near Hebron High, where busy families want the holidays handled without giving up a Saturday.
Lots of Carrollton neighborhoods have an HOA. Have an HOA? Mention it on your estimate request and we'll talk it through with you.
How it works
- Request your free estimate. Tell us about your home on the Free Estimate page.
- Get your custom quote. Price depends on how many feet of roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you want covered.
- Pick your install date. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so the earlier you request, the more dates you'll have before Christmas.
- Light it up. Download the app and run the house from your phone, with presets for every holiday or your own custom designs.

Carrollton permanent lighting FAQ
Can my lights be on for Santa on the Square?
Yes. Pick your design ahead of time and schedule it for that evening.
Our kids go to different schools. Can we switch between team colors?
Sure. Save Creekview, Newman Smith and Hebron colors as separate presets, and anyone in the family can pull up their own in the app.
I live in an older house near downtown. Will people notice the lights during the day?
Probably not. The track is color-matched to your trim, so it blends right in.
How much will it cost?
Every Carrollton home is a little different. Price comes down to how much roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the home you want covered. The free estimate gets you your actual price.
Can I set everything up ahead of time?
Yes. The BlueHopper calendar lets a Carrollton family plan a full twelve months out. Plan out every holiday and game night once, and the lights take care of the rest.
What's the warranty?
Five years, through the manufacturer's warranty on the lights.
Do you install outside Carrollton?
We do. We install all around Carrollton and well beyond. Put your address on your estimate request.
Ready to get started?
The earlier your estimate is approved, the more install dates you'll have to pick from before Christmas. Send in your free estimate request and get your spot on the calendar.
