Why Aubrey homeowners are going permanent
Christmas lights always take longer than you planned. The strands come out of the bin in one big knot, and the ladder's never quite tall enough. Then there's January, when it all has to come down, and nobody volunteers for that part. Permanent lights get installed one time. After that you can change the house without getting off the couch.
Aubrey hangs on to its traditions. Every fall the Aubrey Peanut Festival fills downtown with a parade, vendors and a peanut-spitting contest, a nod to the town's farming roots that's gone on for decades. In December, families head to the city park for the Aubrey Tree Lighting, with music and a visit from Santa. A house that lights up on schedule fits right in with all of that.
Made for how Aubrey celebrates
- Chaparral football nights and playoff weekends call for red, navy and white.
- When the Peanut Festival comes around, warm golds and browns go with the harvest look downtown.
- For the Tree Lighting, most folks pick red and green, a warm white, or a slow color fade.
- On a normal night, a soft white lights the porch and driveway, and the house looks good from the road.
The app holds schedules up to twelve months ahead, so the calendar's a one-time job. Pick from 16 million colors, or set the white anywhere between 1800K and 6800K.
Homes we light in Aubrey
Aubrey has an old downtown, plenty of open land, and new neighborhoods going in all the time.
- Sandbrock Ranch, the 800-acre master-planned community along FM 1385, with some of the newest houses in town. Owners there like that a brand-new house doesn't look cluttered in the daytime.
- Newer two-story homes in the subdivisions going up around town. A tall house lit up is easy to see from down the block, and you never have to get a ladder up that high.
- Homes near downtown and Main Street, close to where the Peanut Festival happens. Your house can wear the festival colors the same weekend.
- Country places on acreage around town, where you can spot a lit house from a long way off.
Plenty of Aubrey's newer neighborhoods have an HOA. Have an HOA? Mention it on your estimate request and we'll talk it through with you.
How it works
- Request your free estimate. Tell us about your home on the Free Estimate page.
- Get your custom quote. Price depends on how many feet of roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you want covered.
- Pick your install date. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so the earlier you request, the more dates you'll have before Christmas.
- Light it up. Download the app and run the house from your phone, with presets for every holiday or your own custom designs.

Aubrey permanent lighting FAQ
Can I put Chaparral colors on the house?
Sure. Save red, navy and white as a preset for game nights, homecoming or graduation, then switch back when you're ready.
Do you install in Sandbrock Ranch?
We do, and in Aubrey's other new neighborhoods too. If you have an HOA, mention it on your estimate request and we'll talk it through with you.
We live out in the country. Can you do our house?
Yes. Out there, people can spot it from the road. We'll quote it on however much of the roofline you want covered.
What's it going to cost?
That depends on how much of the roofline you want lit, how many stories the house has, and which sides you want covered. Your free estimate gives you the exact number.
Do they show during the day?
Very little. The track is colored to match your trim, so in daylight your house just looks like your house.
What about a warranty?
You get a 5-year manufacturer's warranty on the lights.
When should I book to have them before Christmas?
The sooner the better. Install dates go in the order estimates are approved, so asking early leaves you more dates to choose from.
Do you install outside Aubrey?
Yes. We install in Aubrey, all around it, and well beyond. Put your address on the estimate request and we'll take it from there.
Ready to get started?
Have the house lit before the tree goes up in the city park. Send in your free estimate request and grab an install date while the schedule still has room.
