Permanent Lighting in Krum
Hang your Krum lights once and leave them up. We install permanent, color-changing LED lights on Krum houses. They stay up year-round and blend in with the house in daylight. At night they come on from your phone in any color you want. Our office is in Denton, just down the road.
Control with the click of a button
With BlueHopper, you have the superpower of controlling lights! Available on both iOS & Android, BlueHopper is an incredibly user-friendly app with all the powerful features, even for those who are not tech-savvy.
Start by choosing a preset design, or easily customize your own and schedule it. It's that easy!
Why Krum homeowners are going permanent
Anybody living out in the country knows holiday lights are more work than they look. Ranch houses stretch a long way, the wind blows straight across open land, and you end up moving the ladder a dozen times. After New Year's you get to do the whole thing over in reverse.
With permanent lights, you do that job one time. Once they're in, changing how the house looks is something you do from the couch with the app.
Krum started out as a depot town on the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad and got its name from a railroad official, Charles K. Krum. That history is still downtown, where a 70-foot locomotive mural stands near the railroad crossing. People here like the small-town feel, and a house glowing warm at night suits it.
Made for how Krum celebrates
- Blue and white for the Bobcats. Flip it on for the first Krum High home game and keep it going through the playoffs.
- Christmas can mean red and green, candy cane stripes, or plain warm white on the whole house from Thanksgiving to New Year's.
- Red, white and blue for the Fourth. Out here your neighbors will see it from clear across the fields.
- Most nights, a soft white lights the porch and the drive, so the house is easy to find in the dark.
Set your schedules as far as twelve months out and you won't have to think about it again. There are 16 million colors, and the whites run from a warm 1800K to a crisp 6800K.
Homes we light in Krum
Krum has a bit of everything. There's the old town center, there are newer subdivisions, and there's a lot of acreage.
- Older homes near downtown and the tracks. Owners there tend to want the house looking traditional by day, with the lights out of sight.
- Newer homes in the subdivisions, where you come home to a lit-up house without giving up a Saturday on the roof.
- Ranch houses and acreage on the country roads outside town. You can pick out a lit house from a long way off.
- Two-story houses anywhere in town. Nobody in the family has to climb up to that second story every winter anymore.
Some Krum neighborhoods have an HOA. Have an HOA? Mention it on your estimate request and we'll talk it through with you.
How it works
- Request your free estimate. Tell us about your home on the Free Estimate page.
- Get your custom quote. Price depends on how many feet of roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you want covered.
- Pick your install date. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so the earlier you request, the more dates you'll have before Christmas.
- Light it up. Download the app and run the house from your phone, with presets for every holiday or your own custom designs.

Krum permanent lighting FAQ
Can I light the house up for the Bobcats?
You bet. Save blue and white as a preset and use it for game nights, homecoming or graduation. One tap puts the house back to your usual look.
Do you work on country homes and acreage around Krum?
Yes. They look great, because you can see the house lit up from way down the road. Your quote is based on how much of the roofline you want lit.
What's it going to cost?
That depends on your house. It comes down to how much of the roofline you want lit, how many stories you've got and which sides you want done. Your free estimate gets you a real number.
Will I see the lights during the day?
Not really. The track is color-matched to your trim, so it blends in until you turn the lights on.
Can I set them on a schedule?
Yes, up to twelve months ahead. The lights come on and change for each holiday without anybody touching the app.
Do they come with a warranty?
They do. The lights carry a 5-year manufacturer's warranty.
When should I ask for an estimate if I want them up by Christmas?
Sooner is better. We book install dates in the order estimates are approved, so the earlier you're approved, the more dates you'll have to choose from.
Do you install outside Krum?
Yes. We work in Krum, all the towns around it and well beyond. Put your address on the estimate request and we'll take it from there.
Ready to get started?
If you're done with the ladder, send us your estimate request. The earlier it comes in, the more install dates you'll have before the holidays.
