Permanent Lighting in Alamo Heights
Holiday lights that suit an Alamo Heights home and stay put all year. Inception Lighting puts permanent color-changing LED lights on houses. Our home base is in Denton, and we bring our crews to Alamo Heights to install them. The lights stay on the house year round. You'd be hard pressed to spot them in daylight, and after dark you turn them on from your phone and pick the colors.
Control with the click of a button
With BlueHopper, you have the superpower of controlling lights! Available on both iOS & Android, BlueHopper is an incredibly user-friendly app with all the powerful features, even for those who are not tech-savvy.
Start by choosing a preset design, or easily customize your own and schedule it. It's that easy!
Why Alamo Heights homeowners are going permanent
People in the '09 tend to care a lot about how their homes look, and for good reason. Many of the houses here are decades old. Clipping strands of lights to the front every November and pulling them back off in January isn't much fun, and on an older house it's the last thing you want to be doing.
Permanent lights are installed once. Because the track is color-matched to your trim, the front of the house looks the way it always has during the day. At night it's lit however you like.
Right down Broadway, the University of the Incarnate Word holds Light the Way to open the season, with music, fireworks and Santa, and the campus stays lit through the holidays. Part of the campus sits inside Alamo Heights and the rest in San Antonio. Your own house can light up the same evening and stay on through the holidays.
Made for how Alamo Heights celebrates
- Mules football on fall Fridays. Blue and gold for Alamo Heights High, then a quiet white the rest of the week.
- Christmas colors from Light the Way through Twelfth Night. A soft warm white suits the bungalows and older homes here especially well.
- Red, white and blue for the Fourth.
- Orange and purple at Halloween, gold and amber around Thanksgiving.
- Ordinary nights call for a plain warm white that lights the front steps and the walk.
The app takes schedules up to twelve months ahead, so you can set the year once and let it run. You have 16 million colors to work with, and whites that go from a warm 1800K to a cool 6800K.
Homes we light in Alamo Heights
Alamo Heights is its own city, almost completely surrounded by San Antonio. It's small, it's established, and the homes reflect that.
- The bungalows and older cottages on so many Alamo Heights streets. Owners want lights that disappear by day so the character of the house comes through.
- Larger, older homes on the streets off Broadway. A warm white makes them look cared for after dark without changing anything during the day.
- Houses near the neighboring cities of Olmos Park to the west and Terrell Hills to the east, with the same established feel.
- Homes close to the Broadway shops and restaurants, and a short drive from the Witte Museum, the McNay and Brackenridge Park.
Have an HOA? Mention it on your estimate request and we'll talk it through with you.
How it works
- Request your free estimate. Tell us about your home on the Free Estimate page.
- Get your custom quote. Price depends on how many feet of roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you want covered.
- Pick your install date. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so the earlier you request, the more dates you'll have before Christmas.
- Light it up. Download the app and run the house from your phone, with presets for every holiday or your own custom designs.

Alamo Heights permanent lighting FAQ
My house is older. Will the lights change how it looks?
During the day, barely at all. The track is color-matched to your trim, so most people never notice it. At night you get whatever look you choose.
Can I have the house lit for Light the Way?
Yes, if your install is done before then. Schedule your Christmas design to start that evening. Install dates go in the order estimates are approved, so earlier requests have the most options.
Can we do Mules colors for football season?
Absolutely. Save blue and gold as a preset, or put it on a schedule for every home game. Anyone in the family can use the app.
How much will it run?
It depends on how much of the roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you'd like covered. A free estimate gives you the real figure.
Can I set the schedule once and forget it?
Yes. Schedules can be set up to twelve months out, and the lights switch on their own.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Every system comes with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty.
Do you install outside Alamo Heights?
Yes. We install all around Alamo Heights and well beyond. Just add your address to the estimate request.
Ready to get started?
