Permanent Lighting in Schertz
Your Schertz house, lit for every holiday without a ladder. Inception Lighting puts permanent color-changing LED lights on homes in Schertz. Our company is based in Denton, and we install here in Schertz and across the San Antonio area. The lights stay up all year long. In daylight you'd hardly notice them, and once it gets dark you turn them on from your phone and pick whatever colors you want.
Control with the click of a button
With BlueHopper, you have the superpower of controlling lights! Available on both iOS & Android, BlueHopper is an incredibly user-friendly app with all the powerful features, even for those who are not tech-savvy.
Start by choosing a preset design, or easily customize your own and schedule it. It's that easy!

Why Schertz homeowners are going permanent
Most years somebody drags the bins out of the garage, finds half the strands don't work, and makes a run to the store before they can even start. Then there's the ladder. Then in January, there's the ladder again. Plenty of military families in Schertz have done that routine in several states already.
With permanent lights, the install happens one time. After that the house is ready whenever you are, and you change the look in the BlueHopper app instead of on the roof.
Schertz kicks off the season with Holidazzle at the Hal Baldwin Municipal Complex on Schertz Parkway. There's the Kris Kringle Market during the day, a snow hill and an ice rink in the afternoon, pictures with Santa, and then the Festival of Angels lighted night parade. Come home from the parade to a house that's already lit.
Made for how Schertz celebrates
- Friday nights in the fall belong to the Clemens Buffaloes. Put the house in royal blue and gold for the game, then switch back to white over the weekend.
- Christmas colors from Holidazzle weekend straight through New Year's.
- Red, white and blue on the Fourth and Veterans Day. With Randolph right next door, plenty of folks here keep that look handy for homecomings too.
- Orange and purple for Halloween, warm amber for fall, pastels for Easter.
- On regular nights, a soft white lights up the front walk.
You can set up schedules as far as twelve months out, so the whole calendar gets handled in one sitting. Pick from 16 million colors, or set the whites anywhere from a cozy 1800K to a crisp 6800K.
Homes we light in Schertz
Schertz started with Alsatian settlers back in the 1800s and has grown into a city of more than 40,000 people. The homes have grown with it.
- Established neighborhoods with single-story ranch-style homes from the 1980s and 1990s, many on bigger lots with mature trees. A warm white looks right at home on these.
- The Crossvine, the master-planned community with a resort-style pool, hike and bike trails and pocket parks. The houses are newer, and lights make yours easy to pick out on the street at night.
- The older streets around Main Street, close to the shops and restaurants. Homeowners there usually want lights that stay out of sight in the daytime.
- Neighborhoods near Pickrell Park, where the farmers market sets up, and out toward Crescent Bend Nature Park along Cibolo Creek.
A good number of Schertz subdivisions have an HOA. Have an HOA? Mention it on your estimate request and we'll talk it through with you.
How it works
- Request your free estimate. Tell us about your home on the Free Estimate page.
- Get your custom quote. Price depends on how many feet of roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you want covered.
- Pick your install date. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so the earlier you request, the more dates you'll have before Christmas.
- Light it up. Download the app and run the house from your phone, with presets for every holiday or your own custom designs.
From Denton to Schertz, since 2012
We've been at this since 2012 and have finished more than 2,000 lighting projects for homes, businesses and cities. Our head office is up in Denton at 723 S Interstate 35, Suite 226, and our install crews come down to Schertz to do the work.
Schertz permanent lighting FAQ
Can I have the house lit up for Holidazzle?
Yes, as long as your install is done before then. Set your Christmas design to start that weekend and it'll run on its own through the holidays. Since install dates go in the order estimates are approved, getting your request in early helps.
We're a military family and might get orders. Is this still worth it?
That's up to you. The lights come with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty, and the track is color-matched to the trim, so it looks like part of the house during the day.
Can my kids set their own Buffaloes colors?
Sure. Everyone in the family can use the app and save their own designs.
How much will it cost?
It comes down to how much of the roofline you want lit, how many stories the house has, and which sides you'd like covered. A free estimate gives you your actual number.
Will people see the lights during the day?
Most won't. The track matches your trim, so the house just looks like the house until the lights come on.
Can I schedule everything ahead of time?
Yes. You can plan up to twelve months ahead and let the lights change over by themselves.
Do you install outside Schertz?
Yes. We install all around Schertz and well beyond. Put your address on the estimate request and we'll go from there.
Ready to get started?
Skip the garage bins and the ladder this Christmas. Send in your free estimate request now so you get a wide choice of install dates before the season fills up.
