Permanent Lighting in Seguin
Seguin knows how to light up for Christmas. Your house can join in without anyone climbing a ladder. Inception Lighting installs permanent color-changing LED lights on homes. We're headquartered in Denton and travel to Seguin to install here. The lights stay up all year round. In daylight you'd have to go looking for them, and in the evening you turn them on and change the colors from your phone.
Control with the click of a button
With BlueHopper, you have the superpower of controlling lights! Available on both iOS & Android, BlueHopper is an incredibly user-friendly app with all the powerful features, even for those who are not tech-savvy.
Start by choosing a preset design, or easily customize your own and schedule it. It's that easy!
Why Seguin homeowners are switching to permanent lights
Putting lights up by hand is a lot of work for a few weeks of fun. You haul out the ladder, find the bulbs that burned out since last year, and after the holidays you take it all back down. A lot of folks in Seguin have done that for years and are ready to hand it off for good.
Permanent lights are installed once and stay put. When you want a new look, you change it in the BlueHopper app.
Every December the Holiday Stroll fills downtown. The lighted parade heads down Austin Street toward the Seguin Events Complex and Coliseum with Santa riding at the back on a lit fire truck, and then the city lights the tree in Central Park and names the winners of the Christmas tree decorating contest. There's a hot cocoa Sip n' Stroll, a Jingle Bell 5K and the North Pole Stroll for the kids. Head home after the tree lighting and your own place is ready to match.
Made for how Seguin celebrates
- Black and gold covers a lot of ground here. Seguin High families can light up for the Matadors, and Texas Lutheran fans can do the same for the Bulldogs.
- Christmas colors from Holiday Stroll weekend through New Year's.
- A soft warm white the weekend of Christmas Vespers, TLU's long-running holiday concert.
- Red, white and blue for the Fourth, and orange and purple for Halloween.
- On a regular night, a plain warm white keeps the porch lit and the house looking cared for.
The app lets you schedule up to twelve months ahead, so you can plan the year one time. Pick from 16 million colors, with whites that range from 1800K to 6800K.
Homes we light in Seguin
Seguin has deep roots, and you'll find historic houses a few miles from brand new construction.
- The bungalows and craftsman homes around downtown and the limestone Guadalupe County Courthouse. These owners usually want lights that disappear by day so the house keeps its character.
- Riverside homes near Max Starcke Park, the big park on the Guadalupe River with its golf course and trails. A lit house by the water looks wonderful at night.
- The established neighborhoods a few minutes from downtown, with mature trees and larger lots.
- Newer subdivisions on the north side near I-10 and Highway 46, like Cordova Crossing.
- The neighborhoods around Texas Lutheran University on West Court Street, a short drive from the courthouse square.
Some Seguin neighborhoods have an HOA. Have an HOA? Mention it on your estimate request and we'll talk it through with you.
How it works
- Request your free estimate. Tell us about your home on the Free Estimate page.
- Get your custom quote. Price depends on how many feet of roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you want covered.
- Pick your install date. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so the earlier you request, the more dates you'll have before Christmas.
- Light it up. Download the app and run the house from your phone, with presets for every holiday or your own custom designs.

Seguin permanent lighting FAQ
Can I have the house lit for the Holiday Stroll?
Yes, if your install is finished before then. Schedule your Christmas design to start that night. Install dates go in the order estimates are approved, so the sooner you request, the better.
I live in an older home near downtown. Will the lights change how it looks?
Not during the day. The track is color-matched to your trim, so the house keeps the look you love until you switch the lights on.
Can we do Matadors or Bulldogs colors?
Both are black and gold, so one preset covers either. Everyone in the family can use the app and make their own designs too.
How much does it cost?
It depends on how much of the roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you want covered. A free estimate gets you a real price.
Can I set up schedules in advance?
Yes, as far as twelve months ahead. The lights switch over by themselves.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. You're covered by a 5-year manufacturer's warranty on the lights.
Do you install outside Seguin?
Yes. We install all around Seguin and well beyond. Include your address when you request your estimate.
Ready to get started?
Enjoy the Holiday Stroll, then come home to a house that's already decorated. Request your free estimate early to get the widest choice of install dates.
