Permanent Lighting in Helotes
Helotes has a little country left in it. Your Christmas lights can keep up without a ladder. Inception Lighting installs permanent color-changing LED lights on homes. We're based in Denton, and we make the drive to Helotes to install them here. The lights live on your house all year. They blend in during the day, and at night you can turn them on and pick your colors with an app on your phone.
Control with the click of a button
With BlueHopper, you have the superpower of controlling lights! Available on both iOS & Android, BlueHopper is an incredibly user-friendly app with all the powerful features, even for those who are not tech-savvy.
Start by choosing a preset design, or easily customize your own and schedule it. It's that easy!
Why Helotes homeowners are done hanging lights
Plenty of Helotes homes sit on bigger lots, especially near Old Town. That's great for most of the year. It's less great when you're trying to string lights across the front of the house and the extension cord won't reach. Then you get to do it backward after New Year's.
Permanent lights go up once and stay. You decide what they look like from your phone, any night you want.
Every December the City of Helotes Christmas parade rolls through Old Town Helotes on Old Bandera Road, with decorated floats, lights and a new holiday theme. It's a small-town parade in the best way. When you get home, the house is already lit and nobody has to go up and plug anything in.
Made for how Helotes celebrates
- O'Connor Panthers football. Navy, white and gold on game nights, then back to white.
- Christmas colors from parade night through New Year's. Classic red and green looks right with the Hill Country houses here, and so does a soft candlelight white.
- Red, white and blue for the Fourth. Orange and purple for Halloween.
- Something fun and bright when Cornyval comes around.
- Most nights, a warm white along the house. On a dark lot out past the edge of town, it helps guests find the front door.
Schedules can be set up to twelve months in advance, so you can plan the year once. You get 16 million colors to pick from, and the white can be anywhere from a warm 1800K to a cool 6800K.
Homes we light in Helotes
Helotes is a mix of older ranch-style properties and newer planned neighborhoods, with Government Canyon State Natural Area close by.
- The established homes near Old Town, on larger lots with a rural feel. Owners here usually want the house to look the way it always has during the day. Since the track is color-matched to the trim, it does.
- The newer planned neighborhoods off Leslie Road, close to O'Connor High. These homes look sharp lit up, and the lights are one less thing to manage during a busy season.
- Homes on acreage out toward Government Canyon, where a lit house really stands out against the dark.
- Neighborhoods close to Old Bandera Road, where Floore's Country Store has been hosting live music for generations.
Lots of Helotes subdivisions have an HOA, and some older properties don't. Have an HOA? Mention it on your estimate request and we'll talk it through with you.
How it works
- Request your free estimate. Tell us about your home on the Free Estimate page.
- Get your custom quote. Price depends on how many feet of roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you want covered.
- Pick your install date. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so the earlier you request, the more dates you'll have before Christmas.
- Light it up. Download the app and run the house from your phone, with presets for every holiday or your own custom designs.

Helotes permanent lighting FAQ
Can I have the lights on for the Helotes Christmas parade?
Sure, if the install happens before parade night. Schedule your Christmas design to begin that evening and let it run all season. Install dates go in the order estimates are approved, so it pays to request early.
My house sits way back from the road. Will anyone see the lights?
That's one of the best parts. On a dark lot, a lit house is easy to see from the road. A warm white or a full Christmas design both carry a long way at night.
Can we do Panthers colors?
Of course. Save navy, white and gold as a preset. Everyone in your family can use the app and keep their own designs too.
What does it cost?
Price depends on how much of the roofline you want lit, how many stories the house has, and which sides you want covered. The free estimate tells you exactly.
Are they noticeable during the day?
Hardly. The track matches your trim color, so the house keeps its everyday look.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, you get a 5-year manufacturer's warranty on the lights.
Do you install outside Helotes?
Yes. We install all around Helotes and well beyond. Include your address on your estimate request.
Ready to get started?
Put the ladder away for good. Send in your free estimate request early and you'll have more install dates to choose from before the holidays.
