Permanent Lighting in Dripping Springs
Holiday lights for your Dripping Springs home that you only put up once. Inception Lighting installs permanent color-changing LED lights on homes in Dripping Springs. We're based up in Denton and drive down into the Hill Country for installs. Once installed, they're on the house for good. They're tough to spot in the daytime, and at night you turn them on and pick your colors in an app on your phone.
Control with the click of a button
With BlueHopper, you have the superpower of controlling lights! Available on both iOS & Android, BlueHopper is an incredibly user-friendly app with all the powerful features, even for those who are not tech-savvy.
Start by choosing a preset design, or easily customize your own and schedule it. It's that easy!
Why Dripping Springs homeowners are going permanent
Out here a lot of homes sit on an acre or more, with long drives and a good distance between neighbors. That makes hanging Christmas lights a big job, and it's usually one person on a tall ladder with the rest of the family holding it steady. Then there's the trip back up in January.
Permanent lights take care of that. They go up one time, and after that you change the look of the house from the BlueHopper app whenever the mood strikes.
The holidays in Dripping Springs feel like a small town, in the best way. The Lions Club and the city light a community Christmas tree downtown as the season starts, and every December Christmas on Mercer fills the historic downtown with live music, craft vendors and photos with Santa. Coming home to a lit house is a nice end to a day on Mercer Street.
Made for how Dripping Springs celebrates
- Red, white and blue for the Fourth, with the lights set to switch off on whatever schedule you pick.
- Fall Friday nights for the Dripping Springs High Tigers. Save a team look in the app and turn it on for game week.
- Your Christmas look from the tree lighting through New Year's.
- A warm orange glow for Halloween.
- Warm white the rest of the year, which looks right at home against limestone and live oaks.
The app holds up to twelve months of schedules, so the year can be planned at once. There are 16 million colors to choose from, and whites that run from a soft, candle-like 1800K up to a crisp 6800K.
Homes we light in Dripping Springs
Dripping Springs has grown fast, but it still has plenty of space between houses.
- Headwaters, a master-planned community with a resort-style pool, miles of trails and a fitness center, surrounded by rolling Hill Country greenbelts.
- Belterra, the master-planned community with parks, pools and trails, popular with families.
- Caliterra, with its hike-and-bike trails winding through green space. The homes are newer, and owners usually want the lights out of sight in daylight.
- Rim Rock and the estate neighborhoods on bigger parcels, with Hill Country views and long drives.
- The older homes near downtown and Mercer Street, where a simple warm white suits the neighborhood.
Many Dripping Springs communities have an HOA. Have an HOA? Mention it on your estimate request and we'll talk it through with you.
How it works
- Request your free estimate. Tell us about your home on the Free Estimate page.
- Get your custom quote. Price depends on how many feet of roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you want covered.
- Pick your install date. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so the earlier you request, the more dates you'll have before Christmas.
- Light it up. Download the app and run the house from your phone, with presets for every holiday or your own custom designs.

Dripping Springs permanent lighting FAQ
Our house is limestone with a lot of Hill Country character. Will the lights take away from that?
No. The track is color-matched to your trim, so in the daytime the house looks the way it always has. At night you pick the look, from a quiet warm white to full holiday color.
Can my house be lit for Christmas on Mercer?
Yes, as long as we've installed before then. Pick your Christmas design and schedule it to start when you like. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so earlier requests get more choices.
We live on acreage. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Price depends on how much of the roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you want covered. Your free estimate will give you the number for your home.
Will the house look different in daylight?
Hardly. The track is color-matched to your trim, so the house looks like itself until you turn them on.
Can everyone at home use the app?
Yes. Everybody in the family can use it and save their looks.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, a 5-year manufacturer's warranty covers the lights.
Do you install outside Dripping Springs?
Yes. We install all around Dripping Springs and well beyond. Put your Dripping Springs address on the estimate request so we know where to find you.
Ready to get started?
Leave the ladder in the barn and enjoy the season. Request a free estimate soon to get your pick of install dates before Christmas.
