Start by choosing a preset design, or easily customize your own and schedule it. It's that easy!
Why Melissa homeowners are switching
Melissa has grown fast. A lot of the families here moved into brand-new houses, and plenty of them are two stories with a big front to cover. Getting lights on all of that usually means a ladder, an extension cord tangle and a weekend you'd rather spend somewhere else. Taking it all down in January is the part nobody volunteers for.
Permanent lights get installed once, and then they're yours. When you want a new look, you open the app and change it from the couch.
Every December the city holds its tree lighting at City Hall on Barker Avenue. There's hot cocoa, live music and a visit from Santa, and the mayor reads a story before the countdown. Once the tree comes on, a short fireworks show closes out the night. With permanent lights, your house can be lit and waiting when you get home.
Made for how Melissa celebrates
- Cardinals football. Melissa High families can put the house in red, black and white for every home game at Coach Kenny Deel Stadium, and keep it going through the playoffs.
- Tree lighting night is a natural time to switch to Christmas colors. Leave them on through New Year's.
- Pastels around Easter, stars and stripes colors for Memorial Day and Independence Day, and a spooky orange and purple at the end of October.
- Graduation, a birthday or a family reunion. Save a design and use it again whenever you like.
- Most nights, a warm white. It makes a new house look settled in and puts some light on the front walk.
The app can hold schedules up to twelve months ahead. There are 16 million colors, and whites range from a warm 1800K to a cool 6800K.
Homes we light in Melissa
Melissa sits in north-central Collin County along Highway 5, with US 75 on the west side and SH 121 on the east. A lot of what you'll see driving around is newer construction.
- Meadow Run and the other newer communities around town, where most homes are recent builds. You get holiday lights on a new house without ever buying a strand.
- Neighborhoods like Legacy Ranch, Bryant Farms and Milrany Ranch, which are still adding homes. In the daytime the house looks the same as it did before.
- Older homes near the original downtown, the part of Melissa that grew up around the railroad depot. A soft white suits these streets.
- Country places and bigger lots at the edge of town, where a lit house can be seen from the road.
Plenty of Melissa neighborhoods have an HOA. Have an HOA? Mention it on your estimate request and we'll talk it through with you.
How it works
- Request your free estimate. Tell us about your home on the Free Estimate page.
- Get your custom quote. Price depends on how many feet of roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you want covered.
- Pick your install date. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so the earlier you request, the more dates you'll have before Christmas.
- Light it up. Download the app and run the house from your phone, with presets for every holiday or your own custom designs.
A local company since 2012
Inception has been around since 2012. More than 2,000 lighting projects later, we're still doing homes, businesses and cities. Our head office is in Denton at 723 S Interstate 35, Suite 226, and we install in Melissa and plenty of places past it.
Melissa permanent lighting FAQ
Can I have Cardinals colors on for every home game?
Yes. Set red, black and white on a schedule for game nights, and the lights switch back on their own afterward. You can plan as far as twelve months out.
We just moved into a new build in Melissa. Is that a good time to do this?
It's a great time. You'll have lights ready for your first holiday season in the house, and you'll never need to buy or store a box of strands.
Can I have the lights on for the City Hall tree lighting?
Sure. Choose your Christmas design and schedule it for that evening, or leave it on the rest of the season.
What would lights cost for my house?
That depends on how much of the roofline you want lit, how many stories you have, and which sides of the house you want covered. A free estimate gets you your price.
Will my neighbors notice the lights in daylight?
Not much. The track is color-matched to your trim, so most people won't spot it until the lights are on.
Can my spouse and the kids change the lights too?
Yes. Everybody in the house can open BlueHopper and save their own designs.
Is there a warranty?
Yep. A 5-year manufacturer's warranty comes with the lights.
Do you install outside Melissa?
Yes. We install all around Melissa and well beyond. Your address on the estimate request tells us where to go.
Ready to get started?
Christmas comes around faster than anyone expects. Get your free estimate request in early and you'll have a better choice of install dates.
