Permanent Lighting in Georgetown
Georgetown homes, lit for every holiday from your phone. Inception Lighting puts permanent color-changing LED lights on houses in Georgetown. The company is based up in Denton, and we install here in Georgetown too. Once the lights are on your home they stay put all year. You'll barely notice them in daylight. After dark, open the app and pick whatever colors you're in the mood for.
Control with the click of a button
With BlueHopper, you have the superpower of controlling lights! Available on both iOS & Android, BlueHopper is an incredibly user-friendly app with all the powerful features, even for those who are not tech-savvy.
Start by choosing a preset design, or easily customize your own and schedule it. It's that easy!
Why Georgetown homeowners are going permanent
A lot of people here grew up hanging lights the old way. You pull the boxes down in the garage, find out half a strand won't light, and lose a warm November afternoon on a ladder. Come January, somebody's back up there taking it all down.
With permanent lights, the hard part happens once. After that, Christmas is a few taps in the app, and so is every other holiday on the calendar.
Georgetown takes the season seriously. The Lighting of the Square kicks things off from the courthouse steps, and the Square stays lit through New Year's. Every December the Christmas Stroll fills the streets downtown with a parade, carolers and craft booths. It's a nice thing to drive home from the Square and find your own house already glowing.
Made for how Georgetown celebrates
- High school football season. Georgetown High families can go Eagles blue and white, and East View families can switch to Patriots red, navy and white.
- Southwestern University fans can set black and gold for a big game or for graduation weekend.
- Spring belongs to the poppies. Georgetown is the Red Poppy Capital of Texas, and a deep red house fits right in during the Red Poppy Festival.
- Red, white and blue for the Fourth, orange and purple at Halloween, and Christmas colors from the Lighting of the Square through New Year's Day.
- Most nights, a soft warm white does the job.
You can set schedules up to twelve months ahead, and the lights change over on their own. There are 16 million colors to choose from, plus whites from a warm 1800K to a cool 6800K.
Homes we light in Georgetown
- Sun City, the Del Webb 55+ community with its golf courses and dozens of resident clubs. Folks there are often glad to retire the ladder, and permanent lights let them keep Christmas without it.
- Wolf Ranch, a master-planned neighborhood with resort-style pools, trails and plenty of new construction.
- Berry Creek, the golf course neighborhood with homes mostly from the 1990s and 2000s.
- Cimarron Hills on the west side, with custom homes on big lots and Hill Country views. A lit house looks great from the road out there.
- The bungalows and older homes around the Square. Owners usually want the house to look the same as it always has during the day, and the color-matched track helps with that.
Most of these communities have an HOA. Have an HOA? Mention it on your estimate request and we'll talk it through with you.
How it works
- Request your free estimate. Tell us about your home on the Free Estimate page.
- Get your custom quote. Price depends on how many feet of roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you want covered.
- Pick your install date. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so the earlier you request, the more dates you'll have before Christmas.
- Light it up. Download the app and run the house from your phone, with presets for every holiday or your own custom designs.

Georgetown permanent lighting FAQ
Can I have my Christmas lights come on the night of the Lighting of the Square?
Yes. Pick your design in the app ahead of time and schedule it for that evening. Schedules go as far as twelve months out, so you can plan the whole season in one sitting.
We live in Sun City and we're done with ladders. Is this a good fit?
It's one of the main reasons people there call us. After the install, you change the lights from the BlueHopper app on your phone, and nobody in the house has to climb up to decorate.
What would lights cost on my house?
That comes down to how much of the roofline you want lit, how many stories the house has, and which sides you want covered. Request a free estimate and we'll get you an actual price.
Will the neighbors see the lights during the day?
Most won't. The track is color-matched to your trim and pretty much disappears until the lights come on.
What's the warranty?
It's a 5-year manufacturer's warranty on the lights.
How early should I book to have them up for Christmas?
Get it in early. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, and the calendar fills up as the holidays get closer.
Do you install outside Georgetown?
Yes. We install all around Georgetown and well beyond. Just put your address on the estimate request.
Ready to get started?
Give the ladder the season off. Send in your free estimate request early and you'll have more install dates to pick from.
