Why Arlington homeowners are switching
Arlington is a sports town, and a lot of folks here already decorate more than once a year. That's a lot of trips up the ladder. Christmas lights go up after Thanksgiving, come down in January, and then somebody wants Rangers colors in October. Permanent lights mean you only install once. Every change after that happens in the app, in about the time it takes to pick a color.
The holidays here start downtown. Every December the Holiday Lights Parade rolls through downtown Arlington with floats, drum lines and classic cars, and the mayor and Santa switch on the 65-foot Downtown Christmas Tree at Founders Plaza. Afterward, families head over to Levitt Pavilion for pictures with Santa. A lot of people also make the drive through Interlochen to see the lights there, or spend a night at Holiday in the Park at Six Flags.
Made for how Arlington celebrates
- Cowboys blue and silver on Sundays. With AT&T Stadium right here in town, half the street probably does the same.
- Rangers red and blue all baseball season, from Opening Day to the last game at Globe Life Field.
- Royal blue and orange for the UTA Mavericks.
- Christmas colors from Thanksgiving on, with orange and purple for Halloween and red, white and blue for the Fourth.
- A warm white for every ordinary night. It lights up the porch and makes the house easy to spot when friends come over.
BlueHopper, the app that runs your lights, lets you schedule up to twelve months ahead. You'll find presets for the holidays and space for custom designs, with 16 million colors and whites ranging from 1800K to 6800K.
Homes we light in Arlington
Arlington stretches a long way from north to south, and the houses change as you go.
- North Arlington, with its mature trees and mid-century brick homes. Over on the west side near Lake Arlington the homes get bigger, and a lit house looks great from the street.
- Viridian, the 2,000-acre master-planned community near DFW Airport built around Lake Viridian. Most homes there are newer, and coming home to the lights already on is a nice part of the day.
- Southwest Arlington, where larger family homes sit on bigger lots.
- Far South Arlington, with newer subdivisions and modern floor plans. Families there tend to like the team color presets most.
- The older homes around downtown and the UTA campus, where folks want the lights to stay out of sight in the daytime.
Many Arlington subdivisions have an HOA. Have an HOA? Mention it on your estimate request and we'll talk it through with you.
How it works
- Request your free estimate. Tell us about your home on the Free Estimate page.
- Get your custom quote. Price depends on how many feet of roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you want covered.
- Pick your install date. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so the earlier you request, the more dates you'll have before Christmas.
- Light it up. Download the app and run the house from your phone, with presets for every holiday or your own custom designs.

Arlington permanent lighting FAQ
Can I switch between Cowboys and Rangers colors?
Yes. Save both as presets and flip between them whenever you want. You can also put them on a schedule so game days take care of themselves.
Can I have my Christmas lights on for the Holiday Lights Parade?
Yes, as long as they're installed before it. Set your Christmas design to start that night and run it through New Year's. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so the sooner you ask, the better.
I live in Viridian. Do I need to check with my HOA?
Just note it on your estimate request and we'll talk it through with you.
How much will it cost?
That depends on how much of the roofline you want lit, how many stories the house has and which sides you'd like covered. Your free estimate will give you the price for your home.
Will the lights show during the day?
Barely. The track is color-matched to your trim, so most people won't notice anything until the lights turn on.
Do the lights have a warranty?
Yes. They're backed by a 5-year manufacturer's warranty.
Can the kids use the app too?
Yes. Everybody at home can use it, and each of them can save favorite looks.
Do you install outside Arlington?
Yes. We install all around Arlington and well beyond. Give us your address on the estimate request.
Ready to get started?
Get your free estimate request in early, before the calendar fills up for the holidays. Then the only thing you'll hang in December is the wreath on the front door.
