Permanent Lighting in Amarillo
Keep the ladder in the garage. Your Amarillo house can light itself. Inception Lighting installs permanent color-changing LED lights on homes, and Amarillo is on our list. The lights stay up year-round. In the daytime they're pretty much invisible, and at night you switch them on from your phone and pick the colors. We're a Denton company, and we make the trip up to the Panhandle to install.
Control with the click of a button
With BlueHopper, you have the superpower of controlling lights! Available on both iOS & Android, BlueHopper is an incredibly user-friendly app with all the powerful features, even for those who are not tech-savvy.
Start by choosing a preset design, or easily customize your own and schedule it. It's that easy!

Why Amarillo homeowners are making the move
Amarillo has a reputation for wind, and the Weather Channel has called it the windiest city in the country. Hanging Christmas lights in a Panhandle norther is nobody's idea of a good time. Your fingers go numb, the strands won't cooperate, and you still have to come back out in January to pull it all down.
Permanent lights take that job away for good. They're installed once. After that you pick a holiday look in the app, from warm white to a full Christmas show, and you never have to step outside to do it.
Amarillo loves its holiday lights. Every December the Center City Electric Light Parade rolls through downtown. Christmas in the Gardens fills the Amarillo Botanical Gardens with hundreds of thousands of lights, and the Gainsborough Street stretch near Westgate Mall known as Candy Cane Lane draws cars full of families every season. A lit house of your own fits right into all of it.
Made for how Amarillo celebrates
- Amarillo High families can go Sandies black and gold for game nights.
- Tascosa families can save a Rebels scarlet and black look and turn it on for homecoming.
- Sod Poodles fans can try blue, yellow and red on summer nights when there's a game at Hodgetown.
- Light the house red and green for the Electric Light Parade and leave it on through New Year's.
- Red, white and blue for the Fourth, orange and purple for Halloween, and a simple warm white on regular evenings.
You can plan up to twelve months of schedules in the BlueHopper app, so each holiday switches over without you lifting a finger. There are 16 million colors to pick from, and the whites go from a warm 1800K to a cool 6800K.
Homes we light in Amarillo
Amarillo has a little of everything, from historic streets near the middle of town to newer neighborhoods on the south and west sides.
- The Wolflin Historic District is already a favorite for holiday drives. Lights that disappear in the daytime let those older homes keep their character, then add to the show after dark.
- Town Square Village, off Soncy, has newer homes and a main boulevard that people drive through to see the lights.
- Neighborhoods like Greenways at Hillside and The Colonies, where plenty of families would like the holidays handled with a tap.
- The growing neighborhoods in the southern and northwestern parts of town, where a lot of new houses are going up and homeowners want one less chore on the list.
Some Amarillo neighborhoods have an HOA. Have an HOA? Mention it on your estimate request and we'll talk it through with you.
How it works
- Request your free estimate. Tell us about your home on the Free Estimate page.
- Get your custom quote. Price depends on how many feet of roofline you want lit, the number of stories, and which sides of the house you want covered.
- Pick your install date. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so the earlier you request, the more dates you'll have before Christmas.
- Light it up. Download the app and run the house from your phone, with presets for every holiday or your own custom designs.

Amarillo permanent lighting FAQ
Can I have the house lit for the Electric Light Parade?
Yes. Choose your Christmas design and schedule it to start that week. It'll stay on until New Year's, and you can set schedules up to twelve months ahead.
I'm in Wolflin. Will the lights change how my house looks during the day?
Hardly. The track is color-matched to your trim, so the house keeps its look by day.
Can we do Sandies or Rebels colors?
Of course. Save black and gold or scarlet and black as a preset, and switch it on for game nights. Everybody in the family can use the app and save their own designs.
How much will it cost?
Every house is different. We price by how much roofline you want lit, how many stories the house has, and which sides you'd like covered. Your free estimate tells you the real number.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, the lights are covered by a 5-year manufacturer's warranty.
When should I book to have lights by Christmas?
Early. Install dates are booked in the order estimates are approved, so the sooner your request is in, the more dates you'll have.
Do you install outside Amarillo?
Yes. We install all around Amarillo and well beyond. Include your address in the estimate request.
Ready to get started?
Skip the cold, windy afternoon on the ladder. Send in your free estimate request now so you'll have more install dates to choose from before Christmas.
